Wow! Can you say whirlwind!!!?? I swear this last couple of months if not more have been just so crazy! I don’t know if anything else could have gone on! Ha ha I have to just laugh! Car problems, sick kids, school starting, football season which sparks the season of mums’ and the list goes on. It is always that way I guess when school starts back up and you have to get thrown back into creating a new schedule. I even in the mix stopped getting on Facebook for a bit to give myself more time to do things. It did not even help! (Wink)
Anyways since we are talking about back to school I wanted to share with you some fun art work my daughter did. My oldest daughter is in kindergarten. This is her first time to really be away from me other than a bit during the day at the YMCA. She was extremely nervous about going into school. (I was too to be honest) I thought though since she loves to do art and she loves to give people gifts it might be fun for her to create something to give her teacher hoping this gesture would help her have a little door opened and help her with this huge change.
I have been seeing for a while that Starbucks sells coffee mugs that you can decorate for a while and have been just trying to find a reason to buy one so I could play! Instead I bought three and handed them over Miss Addison and let her have fun with it.
Aren’t they so neat!? You just use the paint pen and decorate the mug, let it dry, then cook it in the oven to set the paint. Yep! They are permanent!
She made three of them. One for her teacher, one for her Nana who is a school nurse, and one for her aunt who is a teacher to elementary teachers. (Wink) She drew everything by hand and then I told her the letters in their names and she wrote them out. I am so impressed with how well she did I am going to buy another one so she can make it for me as a keepsake!
I hope you all have had a wonderful September! I am so amazed that it is already that far into the year. All the holidays are upon us!
